Effortless flavor in every bite

What makes this strawberry salad a star in my weekly meal planner, is its simplicity. With just three main ingredients, it’s a breeze to prepare, making it the ideal choice for those nights when cooking feels like a chore. The foundation of this salad is the Dole Chopped Sesame Asian salad kit, to which I add Banquet Popcorn Chicken and, of course, fresh strawberries. And here’s the best part – this salad is a year-round favorite. There’s no need to wait for strawberry season to enjoy its refreshing flavors.

Perfect trio of ingredients

This recipe’s magic lies in the perfect mix of flavors. The Asian dressing from the salad kit adds a zesty kick, complemented by the sweetness of the fresh strawberries. The crispy Banquet Popcorn Chicken not only adds a satisfying crunch but also transforms this salad into a hearty and wholesome meal.

And don’t be fooled by its simplicity; this salad leaves plenty of room for creativity. Feeling adventurous? I like to add blueberries, oranges, or walnuts. Want to be fancy? Top it off with creamy goat or tangy feta cheese.

Tips to keeping it healthy

As a Weight Watchers Lifetime member (join me here), I’ve found a way to make this simple strawberry salad point-friendly. Doubling up on the lettuce mix while using just one packet of dressing keeps the points to 8 points for a 2 cup serving. I portion out the Banquet Popcorn Chicken to control serving sizes, making it easier for everyone to customize their salads.

And of course, slicing the strawberries into bite-sized pieces lets their natural sweetness meld with the savory Asian dressing.

Savoring every bite, even leftovers

While salads aren’t known for their longevity, I’ve found a solution. Storing leftovers in my favorite glass containers keeps the salad fresh, with the chicken stored separately for easy reheating. Although, truth be told, leftovers are at our house. The delicious combination of flavors and textures ensures that our plates are always wiped clean, who am I kidding, we are pigs.
