Hello and welcome to the Summer Outdoor Spaces Blog Hop hosted by AnnMarie & Anne from Simply2Moms! If you’re visiting from Carrie Beth & Jen at The Magnolia Mamas. or if you just happened to stop by, I’m so glad you’re here. It’s been a hot minute (or year) since I have been on here and written a post. Dang, I am a bad blogger! Let’s change that today should we? I want to share with you my updated front porch. I gave it more of a modern farmhouse look and feel.

The rocking chairs are a staple on the porch, I love the welcoming feel they give the space. Wanting to keep it simple, I started by removing everything EXCEPT the chairs! Loving this quick DIY sign. I love the modern farmhouse touch and the simplicity of the sign. Maybe I’ll even get around to making a blog post on how it put it together.
This little guy is guarding the place, you know, the mean ole’ mail man might show up! He better be nice to the Amazon delivery guy! When we built our home I wanted a wooden front door. Realizing how expensive those babies are, I stained this metal door to look like wood. You can check that out (here). Layering rugs, it adds so much dimension and texture. Besides, I couldn’t make up my mind on which one I liked best!
I added a couple of throw pillows that I picked up at Walmart for $12 – more texture! The final step, I filled in the holes with Boston ferns (my favorite!)
