Welcome

Hi, I’m Jodi

I am creative, energetic, and like to have a lot of fun here on Lyndale Drive! I’ll share with you, my love of design, home decor (old and new), DIY, project tutorials, recipes and my weight loss journey. I hope to inspire you with my real life experiences (even the project fails – because let’s be real – they happen to all of us). I’ll give you the real life experiences that I hope will encourage any woman to “give it a shot”. My dad was a carpenter and he raised me to try any thing and learn along the way. He taught to make friends with power tools instead of being afraid of them. With a background in interior design and art, I have a strong inner desire to be creative, hopefully achieving professional results on an affordable budget!

Where this all began

I have always loved to decorate and be creative. Growing up with a mother who always seemed to be ahead of the times when it came to design. Can you believe we had black cabinets when I was a kid? You guys, that was 100 years ago, no one had black cabinets. I am sure we were the talk of the town. She also had an owl collection, please don’t bring back that trend! Who is always watching?

My dad was a carpenter. He taught me at a very young age to make friends with power tools, not to be afraid of them. Asking him to help me with a project was a sure bet I end up with a new tool for my arsenal. I think he was secretly hoping I’d quit asking him to do the project! Teach her and she will do, and I did.

So here we are today. I’m still learning and I’ve screwed up my share of projects, it’s part of the process. Don’t worry, I’m not here to teach you all things DIY. I will however, share with you my love of design. Where I “try” to incorporate my passion for anything antique, vintage, thrifted and even new with you.

I will even share with you my weight loss journey with Weight Watchers. During the pandemic I decided I didn’t want to be as big around as I was tall, so I joined WW……for the second time in my life. I am confident that this time I can say, its the last time I will join, because I finally learned this is a lifestyle, not a diet.

I hope you will stick around and join me on this journey! I’m so excited to have you here with me.
