New “old things”

Sharing is caring!

Mike and I shopped until we almost dropped!  I have to say, I love going junin’ with my friends, but they are not nearly as willing to carry my sacks as Mike is!  And he kept me on budget, I probably would have bought a lot more if I left him at home!  Sorry girls!

Here are my weekend treasures from Junk Jubilee, a side trip to Collectamania and some FB swap page finds!  All in all it was a good weekend, I’d say we found some good stuff!

The best deal of the weekend, wooden balls!  Most booths these were selling these for $4.75 – $5 each.  I found them for $3 each and shot them a deal – “If I buy all 8 will you take $20?”……….SOLD!  I am going to doctor them up a bit…….you will have to wait to see that!

Shutters -I have a couple of friends I am helping with some design projects and they both want shutters too,  I only found one so I will keep searching for my friends.

I Love the chippy paint in the picture I first posted (what I was looking for), so I will rough mine up a little before it finds a new home in my decor.  Again – you will have to wait to see how and where I use it!

Next up, I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted in the man cave between two chairs – I had posted these ideas – as you can see, I was open to anything really.

I would have loved to find a wooden card catalog, but knew i didn’t want to spend a ton of money!  Metal drawers would be great too, I had an open mind – and Mike kept saying, “I will know it when I see it”.  I don’t think he sees it yet……….but he will!

Here is what we ended up with!

I bet this in NOT what you were expecting!!  We added the shelf on the bottom to change it up a bit, but I love the rusty, paint spilled, industrial look of this metal cart!  It even has wheels!!  Turned out to be a fun little table.

My FUN find of the day is this jem!  I know what you are thinking, “what the heck are you going to do with that!” or “this woman is crazy“!!  Mike thought the same thing, but he rolled with me on this one…….How about this idea!  I turned it into a rolling table/blanket storage bin!!

I can’t help but share with you two pieces I got this weekend off a local swap page on Facebook < love these pages!

First picture: I snagged the arched window frame – it was originally the same color as my wall – so I slapped a quick coat of white paint on it (remember I love paint!) and took some sand paper to the edges and hung it up – LOVE IT!!!  See how I styled the tray (old drawer) here.

Second picture: the white napkin rings with numbers – they came in a package deal I got off the swap page (I bought a lamp and had to take a box full of other items with it <good idea seller, even though I didn’t want most of what was in the box) I was going to toss the stuff I didn’t want, but decided these numbered napkin rings looked really cute in this old jar I got at Junk Jubilee, so I kept them!

I am super excited to attend another junk show this coming weekend!!  Until then, I better find places for these treasures!!
